Open position: Project Engineer
Location: Kariega / Uitenhage
Salary: Market Related
Type: Permanent
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Strictly EE/AA position

Job Requirements:

National Diploma in Civil Engineering
3- 5 years project management experience within civil or construction engineering environment
Detailed knowledge of project management
Ability to compile detailed investment studies and project control plans
Computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Word , Excel and CAD)
Have a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of Micro-station

Duties:

Initiating facilities and process requirements based on approved layouts.
Preparing information for management decision-making and strategic planning.
Forecasting project timing expenditure and managing project funds within the project budget.
Preparing specifications for purchasing enquiries, cost estimates, project justifications and technical evaluation of tenders.
Establishing project timing plans and ensuring that deadlines are met.
Supervising contractor’s work and ensuring adherence to all relevant safety requirements and standards
