Responsibilities
- Machine Setup
Select and install appropriate dies, tools, and clamps on bending machines, including those with CNC systems. - Material Preparation
Accurately position metal workpieces (sheet, bar, pipe, or tube) using end stops or guides to ensure correct alignment for bending. - Machine Operation
Operate the bending machine to form metal components to specified angles and contours, following work orders and drawings. - Quality Control
Inspect fabricated parts to confirm compliance with specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. - Maintenance
Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication and minor repairs to ensure consistent machine performance and prevent downtime. - Safety & Compliance
Adhere to all company safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and health regulations. - Documentation
Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and completed tasks.
- Blueprint Reading
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders. - Machine Operation
Skilled in operating both manual and CNC-controlled bending machines. - Technical Aptitude
Strong mechanical understanding for machine setup, tool selection, and troubleshooting. - Attention to Detail
Commitment to producing high-quality parts that meet exact specifications. - Physical Stamina
Capable of lifting materials and standing for extended periods in a manufacturing setting. - Basic Math Skills
Proficient in measuring, calculating angles, and interpreting dimensions.
