Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the Manufacturing supply and delivery of project materials.
- Finalizing agreements with suppliers and compiling orders.
- Processing Bill of materials and ensuring departments receive necessary goods.
- Maintaining positive engagements with vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiating contracts and managing delivery schedules.
- Prioritizing cost-efficient goods.
- Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
- Managing inventory and ensuring accurate records.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure the smooth flow of all materials
- Work together with manufacturing team to plan all deliveries, handle delays and guarantee compliance with all material requests.
- Waste management.
- Stock taking.
- Attend design reviews for material identification.
POST REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- Qualified Boilermaker with Trade Certificate.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in coordinating material in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in an explosive environment will be advantageous.
- Good communication, planning and organizing skills..
- Highly organized, punctual and self-motivated.
- An in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing/fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in planning and implementation of work activities.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
