Must be qualified and hold a Trade Certificate: Hydraulics Fitter/ technician.
Excellent knowledge of hydraulics systems including the working, fault finding, preventative maintenance and basic system design thereof.
At least 8 years’ experience in a similar environment (opencast mining / construction / earthworks) specialising in hydraulic systems maintenance and operation.
Valid contactable references must be made available.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in hydraulics and systems maintenance is key. Additional training will be provided.
DUTIES: will include but are not limited to the following areas:
Carry out preventative maintenance on the hydraulics systems on all mobile crushing and screening equipment on a field service basis.
Ensure all machines are safe and fit for purpose.
Installing and commissioning of new and refurbished equipment.
Overhaul and repair of all crushing and screening plant hydraulic systems and hydraulic testing of equipment.
Actively promote safe working practices.
Work with site based staff and coordinate with contractors where required.
Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and pre-determined specifications.
Work within company’s safety rules and standards
Participate in root cause analysis of faults on hydraulic equipment and the implementation of the corrective measures as required.
Accuracy and efficiency of performing above functions in a timeous fashion.
