Job Summary
Qualification- Matric / Senior Certificate
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing or related field.
- Additional qualification in Product Management, Business or Project Management would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the South African electrical products market would be advantageous
- 3–5+ years' experience in electrical products, wiring accessories, electrical manufacturing or product development.
- Experience in new product development and product lifecycle management.
- Experience working with electrical standards and product certification.
- Experience dealing with manufacturing, suppliers and customers.
- Knowledge of the South African electrical products market would be advantageous.
- Innovative and commercially minded - Analytical and detail-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving ability / Project management skills.
- Strong communication skills / Customer-focused.
- Ability to communicate and work across departments.
- Research current and emerging trends in the electrical wiring accessories market.
- Identify opportunities for new products, product enhancements and range extensions.
- Monitor competitor products, specifications, pricing, features, packaging and positioning.
- Gather feedback from sales, customers, contractors, wholesalers, retailers, architects and other market participants.
- Monitor developments in smart, USB, energy-efficient, connected and specialized wiring accessories.
