Open position: Technical Shift Supervisor
Location: East London
Salary: Market Related
Type: Permanent
Report to: Operations Manager

Job Requirements:

Grade 12 / with English fluency (spoken and written)
NQF 5 qualification or studying towards same.
2 years working experience in a vehicle logistics management environment, 1 of which with leadership responsibilities.
Must be able to work overtime/weekends and shifts.
Computer Literate in MS Office Applications, V-Motion and SAP.

Duties:

Oversee the operation or assigned area, as first line management, with a view to ensuring that team members perform all required tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently in furtherance of company and customer requirements, escalating non-conformances, and substandard performance where necessary.
Monitor and report on site Productivity to ensure that all areas work productively and meet their daily targets.
Ensure that a pre-shift meeting is done daily.
Plan and secure daily Shift requirements whilst ensuring effective and efficient utilisation of resources.
Monitor and track performance against targets and escalate any off-spec findings to management
Ensure that processes and procedures required by the operation are performed in accordance with the Client and Company Quality and Safety Standards.
Effect continuous process improvement to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
Ensure that all employees are properly training in accordance with standard operating procedures applicable within the operation.
Drive the development of a safety culture within area of control and responsibility with a view to reinforcing safe work practices
Monitor and report on adherence to Company and Customer standards with a view to improving compliance.
Ensure that all administrative tasks that are required by scope of the role are completed accurate and timeously and are distributed to their intended recipient as required.
