- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Recognised Mechanical Trade Test (Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Millwright or equivalent)
- N3 Mechanical Engineering or higher
Experience- 3–5 years post-trade experience in FMCG, food, beverage, packaging, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience working on automated production and packaging equipment.
- Experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and process equipment.
- High-care food manufacturing experience advantageous.

Key Responsibilities - Perform preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production and packaging lines.
- Maintain pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, valves, pipework, fillers, cappers, and processing equipment.
- Conduct inspections and equipment condition monitoring.
- Support changeovers, equipment setup, and production start-ups.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and food safety requirements.
- Complete maintenance documentation and job cards accurately.
- Maintain workshop standards and housekeeping
