Job Summary
Duties and Responsibilities
- To oversee mechanical and process designs for water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Prepare 2D draughting and technical drawings, including Piping Isometrics and P&IDs.
- Create 3D models of structural steel, piping, and sheet metal assemblies.
- Develop and review mechanical assembly and installation drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
- Select, cost, and specify equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, and membranes.
- Produce accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and installation purposes.
- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with design specifications.
- Supervise commissioning activities to ensure proper system functionality and performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the water and wastewater treatment industry.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and assembly.
- Proficiency in 2D design software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD) and 3D modelling tools (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong knowledge of weldment assemblies, pipe routing, sheet metal, and manufacturing drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet project deadlines, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
