INTASOL Construction undertakes projects – from preliminary design to completion – in conjunction with our group’s Tailings management division for companies in the mining and related sectors. Our main services are the construction of new tailings dams and the extension of existing tailings storage facilities, the building of associated infrastructure and return water and storm water dams, and the buttressing of tailings dams. We also provide project and construction management services to consultants and contractors, covering constructability, resourcing and programme review.
Purpose of position:
• The position manages the implementation and delivery of a
section against time, quality and cost standards.
• These are the BASIC requirements, and the responsibilities
will be expanded on to meet the site requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
• Construction management
Undertake the implementation of company procedures and
project objectives on a specific site.
• Staff management and planning
Guide, lead, and direct subordinate staff so that they are
able to achieve the objectives set for them as well as
understand and align with the strategic direction and goals
of the parent company
• SHEQ management
Establish and manage the project’s Health, Safety,
Environmental and Quality plans in accordance with the
latest construction regulations as well as company policy
and procedural provisions
• Client Liaison and relationship management
Manage, develop and maintain effective relationships with
clients and professional teams ensuring appropriate levels
of satisfaction is maintained to enhance likelihood of future
opportunities
• Cost and contractual management
Implement and maintain company policy and procedural
requirements for Site costing
Ensure that all relevant labour, materials, plant and sub-
contractors are procured in good time for the contract and
within budget specifications
Qualifications and Experience:
• BSc Civil or Construction Management or Civil
Engineering Diploma
• 6 to 10 years’ experience working in the mining and
construction industry.
