Our client, a leading organisation in the construction industry, is looking for a dedicated Workshop Manager to uphold high standards of maintenance, safety, and efficiency, supporting their commitment to delivering reliable infrastructure projects across the Eastern Cape.
Where You'll Make an Impact:
Manage the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring all fleet and yellow metal equipment are maintained and repaired efficiently.
Oversee preventative maintenance planning to reduce downtime and maximize equipment availability.
Supervise and motivate workshop staff and technicians, fostering a safety-conscious and collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards across all workshop activities.
Control workshop costs, oversee parts inventory, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Duties may include:
Manage the day-to-day workshop activities to deliver high-quality maintenance and repair services.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
Supervise workshop personnel, providing guidance and support.
Monitor and control workshop budgets, procurement, and inventory.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance management within the construction sector.
Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance and yellow metal machinery.
Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with preventative maintenance systems and workshop administration.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Valid heavy equipment operator certification is preferred.
Familiarity with the following:
Heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Workshop management software.
Inventory control systems.
