This role Is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of process control equipment including all (Field devices, network infrastructure and systems) within a specific area of responsibility
Responsibilities:
• Good field instrumentation equipment knowledge is required a process understanding
• Advanced computer skills including a good knowledge of Microsoft’s products
• Good working knowledge of PLC’s and SCADA
• Ability to read P&ID’s
• Risk Management skills
• Understanding of relevant technology for improvement
• Industrial network knowledge
• Good knowledge of local area and wide area ethernet networks with fiber
• Editing and fault-finding on Schneider Control Logix Programmable Logic Controllers with Unity and PL7 programming software
• Editing and fault-finding on selected systems (e.g., Adroit Scada, Schneider HMI’s)
• Budget control
Requirements:
• N6/S4/T3 Electronic light current diploma in Instrumentation or Diploma in Instrumentation and Process Control
• Instrumentation Trade Certificate will be advantageous when T3 or T4 diploma is obtained.
• Passed area specific systems training modules for role within the organisation
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
• Ability to communicate with people on different levels.
• Computer literate
• Valid driver’s licence
• Own Transport as position requires standby
• Valid certificate of physical fitness for underground work.
