A premium motor industry employer is seeking to appoint an experienced and driven Approved Repair Centre Manager to lead its repair operations in Mbombela. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full repair centre function, ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, high-quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. A strong understanding of the local Mbombela market and the ability to source new customers are essential.
Key Purpose of the Role
Manage the daily operations, profitability, compliance, customer service, and business development of the Approved Repair Centre.
Ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer, safety, and quality standards.
Build sustainable customer relationships and grow the centre's customer base within the Mbombela market.
Required QualificationsGrade 12 / Senior Certificate.
Valid driver's licence.
3–5 years' motor industry experience.
Supervisory or management experience in a repair or dealership environment.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
Strong administrative and reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications / ExperienceTrade Test or relevant technical motor industry qualification.
Qualification in Business Management, Motor Industry Management, or Operations Management.
Experience in an approved repair centre, panel shop, body repair centre, or franchised dealership environment.
Experience working with insurers, assessors, fleet clients, and manufacturer standards.
Knowledge of MIBCO and labour-related compliance.
Essential Knowledge and SkillsSound knowledge of the Mbombela area and local market.
Ability to source customers and generate new repair business.
Strong understanding of repair workflow, costing, work-in-progress (WIP), productivity, and turnaround times.
Good understanding of customer retention and relationship management.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
