Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Financial Accountant to join a dynamic Finance Division. This role is ideal for a newly qualified CA(SA) or experienced Financial Accountant looking to grow within a structured and performance-driven environment.
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure a sound financial accounting function within the financial reporting area of the Finance Division. To maintain best practice and compliant financial accounting, GL maintenance and reconciliation, financial reporting, controlling, and asset safeguarding processes within the Finance Division.
Duties:
- Financial accounting, financial reporting, and GL maintenance
- Assets controlling and safeguarding
- Stock controlling and accounting
- Stock creditors and foreign currency payments controlling and accounting
- Strategic contribution at divisional and area of accountability level
- Excellent financial knowledge
- MS Office proficiency
- Legal knowledge and compliance
- Financial accounting within a retail environment
- Understanding of financial systems and financial data
- Project management skills
Minimum Requirements:
- Newly qualified CA(SA) / Financial Accountant with 3–5 years’ experience (articles completed)
- Relevant degree completed
- NQF Level 7 or higher
