Our client in the Employee Benefits and Funding industry is looking for an Accountant to join their team!
Requirements:
- BCom Accounting/ BAcc degree
- Completed SAICA articles
- Computer literate
- Self-starter
- Deadline driven
Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the below:
- The capturing and processing of all banking transactions on a weekly basis;
- Invoicing of admin and consulting fees for any recoveries of expenses incurred on behalf of certain clients on a monthly basis;
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures;
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met;
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close;
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities;
- Preparation of VAT/PAYE packs on a monthly basis;
- Develop and maintain financial databases;
- Financial audit preparation;
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording of revenues and expenses;
- Reconciliation of bank, petty cash, creditor and debtor accounts on a monthly basis, and
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
