Job Summary
Our client has an opportunity available for an Electrician with the responsibility of safe and certified electrical installation and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Matric NQF level 4.
- Electrical Wiremen’s license – non-negotiable
- N4 Electrical Engineering certificate or higher qualification.
- ORHVS certified.
- Knowledge of OSHA.
- Knowledge of Operation Machines, UPS and generators.
- Ability to adapt to different work environments.
- Electrical trade test SA or SAQA approved.
KPAs:
- Repair and maintain all electrical facilities as per SOP to ensure electricity to offices and laboratories.
- Test and record generators weekly to ensure electricity supply.
- Ensure that generator tanks are refueled on a regular basis to always maintain full capacity.
- Install additional electrical facilities as requested to ensure customer needs.
- Clean and maintain relevant tools and areas as required ensuring compliance with safety standards and legislation.
- Monitor and check all electrical installations to ensure that the work is done according to standard.
- Service electrical distribution boards, switch gears, transformers and other electrical infrastructure.
- Issue electrical Certificate of Compliance after an electrical installation or alternation has been made.
