A vacancy currently exists for a Lodge General Manager within Shishangeni Private Lodge, reporting to Group Supply and Chain Manager at Shishangeni Private Lodge and all associated Camps.
1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Lodge Manager is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of a luxury safari lodge. To provide leadership and development to staff, maintain lodge facilities and provide a level of hospitality which meets the company’s minimum standards.
2. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
A Degree in Hotel / Tourism / Hospitality Management or equivalent
Four to six years relevant experience gained in the Hospitality industry at a Managerial level.
Proven working experience in the hospitality field for a minimum of five years.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
CONTENT OF THE JOB
Warm welcome and check in of all guests
Complete daily/weekly/monthly Admin duties including month end duties
Manage stock (operational and bar) through regular stock takes and maintaining stock controls
