Doing research and conducting experiments in different aspects of food production including taste, colour, flavour, texture, nutritional content, storage, packaging, deterioration and quality.
Giving advice on preserving, processing and storing foods.
Maintaining food safety.
Improve existing products and processes new ones.
Checking and improving safety and quality control procedures in the company.
Selecting raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers.
Preparing product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products.
Managing audit suppliers or manage internal and external audits.
Managing customer’s complaints and investigations.
Acquiesce, check and approve product specifications and labeling.
Handling packaging innovation and technology.
build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
Making sure products are profitable.
Food Technologist Requirements:
Must have a bachelor's degree &/ relevant qualifications in food technologies.
Must be organized and hardworking.
Good communications skills (Internal and External).
Excellent 4+ years’ experience in the field.
Exceptional experience in food and drink testing.
Must be a critical thinker.
Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
