Touring Financial Accountant
LOCATION: Johannesburg
Our client an award-winning, luxury experiential travel company that tailor-makes exclusive safaris and tours in Africa, Asia and South America, is looking to employ a Touring Financial Accountant to join their team.
KEY OUTPUTS
Accounts Payable
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Preparing and processing payments
- Manage Creditors Team
- Liaising with stakeholders to resolve queries
- Review of recons and paperwork for all supplier payments
- Review and release of payments on the different banking platforms
- Cash flow management and reporting in line with Treasury guidelines
- Review Petty Cash
- Third Party Barters
Financial Accounting
- Tourplan financial period close as per deadlines
- Revaluation and authorisation of all bank reconciliations
- Management account preparation and review
- Accurate monthly & quarterly forecasting
- Balance sheet recons preparation and review
- Stock management
- Full function month end process
- VAT calculations, submissions on e-filing, resolution of queries
- Travel Division: Support, review and analyse
- Club Division: Support, review and analyse
- Budgets: Prepare, Implement and maintain
- Audit: participate intermediate / yearend audits, and internal reviews
- Adhoc functions to ensure the efficiency of the Touring Team
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Financial Qualification – Diploma or Degree
- Creditors processing and management
- Sound accounting knowledge, i.e. General Ledger, Journals and Bank Reconciliation
- MS Windows, MS Office - Extensive knowledge of Excel
- Foreign Currency

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Knowledge and experience of Tourplan, Accpac and Touring is advantageous
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar financial role

organisational skills, be a team player and have flexibility in terms of working hours.
