COMMIS CHEF – WINE ESTATE

Requirements:
• Full time position, Candidate must be willing to work shifts and weekends
• Proven work experience in a bakery, kitchen or catering environment (minimum of 2-3 years)
• Provide the adequate certification and or qualification
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team
• Flexible and willing to assist other departments as and when required
• Own transport to and from the workplace
• Willing to relocate if not living in the Durbanville area
Duties:
• Support in the kitchen, bakery and relevant department
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to food preparation checklist
• Cook food according to recipes, quality and preparation standards
• Monitoring temperatures of kitchen equipment
• Issue food items from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
• Cleaning of dishes, utensils and equipment in the kitchen
• Good understanding of food health and safety regulations (HCCAP knowledge)
• Ensuring food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
• Any other general duties as requested by Management
