Business Development Manager â Electrical Cables
Qualification
- A valid grade 12 certificate (essential)
- Tertiary qualification preferably in Electrical Engineering
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years cabling sales experience
- A strong knowledge of electrical products
- Must be computer literate
- An intimate knowledge of the area will be an advantage
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
Duties
- Maintaining sales and support to existing clients
- Calling and following up on Industry end users, switchgear panel builders, system integrators, consultants and contractors
- Conduct preliminary site inspections and energy studies together with engineer and technician
- Compile an accurate and comprehensive data base on customers and their relationships/influences
- Generating growth of allocated and new customer base on power quality products and solutions
- Prepare customer proposals, reports and quotations
- Prepare and conduct training/presentations to customers
- Conducting exhibitions and customer specific training if required
- Update customer base on product updates and new products
- Prepare and report on sales for your area
- Attend key project or customer meetings
- Report on competitor activities in the area
- Compile monthly sales review and forecasts
- Assist engineering and technical staff with projects and studies
- Perform other duties as directed by General Manager
