Job Summary
A medium-sized integrated agency with a focus on POS advertising is looking for a Senior Industrial Designer to join their team.
They are looking for someone who can motivate and inspire their team to deliver world-class design work whilst still being able to juggle being hands-on design work for existing clients and new business possibilities.
Duties
- Produce industrial design and client presentations
- Manage the intake of workload for the design team and ensure all project deadlines are met timeously
- Lead/inspire the design team and manage the day-to-day running of the Design Studio
- Take ownership for producing high-quality output that exceeds client expectations
- Manage project scopes, timelines and budgets for projects
- Clearly communicate client needs to your team to ensure that output produced meets with agreed briefs
- Build trusting and collaborative relationships with account teams to ensure all stakeholders are clearly aligned with design output
- Build relationships with clients, manage expectations and provide them with services that exceed those expectations
Requirements
- A minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Senior Industrial Designer
- Must have a Conceptual Industrial/Product Designer qualification
- Agency/Brand experience, as well as POS(Point of Sale), is essential
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and 3D design. Preference will be given to those with experience with 3D Studio Max, Raster, Vectors and V-Ray
- Experience with gaming engines would be an added bonus (Unreal, etc)
- Highly creative and conceptual capabilities. Ability to come up with creative concepts and effectively present them to clients whilst keeping with briefs
- Ability to engage with Senior Stakeholders (external and internal)
- Competent at explaining ideas to people with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Prior experience leading a team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – verbal and visual
- An ability to learn quickly, think fast and deliver solutions
- Excited about embracing new procedures and technologies
