Minimum 5 years Agricultural commercial experience, ideally within Crop Protection R&D or Sales organization is essential
Working knowledge of and interest in digital platform technology and solutions, including today’s state-of-the-art digital farming (e.g. FMS, Precision Ag, etc) will be required
Must have established a large network of agricultural stakeholders, such as retailers, AgTech companies, crop consultants, academia etc.
The ability to handling agronomic data from research and development, demonstration and farm level trials incl input to modelling / algorithms is important
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Directing Crop Protection Digital Experiments which are aligned with stakeholders across the organisation (product leads, regional digital team and local agronomic and market experts).
Ensuring experiments are always practical / grower focused, covering behavioural and agronomic hypotheses for all development / discovery work.
Providing practical agronomic leadership to shape digital Agronomy tools for product development.
Developing and maintaining a network of collaborators within and outside the organization to influence digital agriculture stakeholders.
Providing digital agronomic guidance to the data analytics group building services driven by the agronomic insights engine.
Shaping the global and regional Crop Protection business strategies through digital leadership and bringing Digital strategy to life through a series of real-world Digital Experiments turned into workable solutions.
Driving direction for the digital agronomic services delivered via the Cropwise platform linked to the core Crop Protection products.
Driving agronomic talent development across the organisation, though the creation of practical agronomic tools and digitization of agronomic leaders.
Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
