Have you managed an apartment block complex dealing with Owners, Tenants, Trustees, Staff and the daily building maintenance portfolio? We have an excellent opportunity in Green Point to use your experience and solid rack record to look after an apartment complex consisting of 100 apartments.
Matric and own vehicle
Experience dealing with building maintenance issues and ability to assess maintenance problems, find solutions and evaluate contractors’ proposals
Construction type background will be advantageous
Computer literate – Email, Word & Excel
Good communication skills
Ability to write reports on maintenance issues and update monthly reports
Experience managing staff
Exceptionally well organised
Hours are Monday to Friday
Reliable and trustworthy with the ability to get the job done without supervision
Managing the staff looking after the full premises including the buildings and gardens
Ensure staff are working well and their work has been completed timeously
Reporting to the trustees
Dealing with owners of the units with enquiries or building problems
Managing ongoing maintenance issues as this complex was built a number of years ago
Obtaining several quotations for maintenance issues
Liaising with Trustees on problem areas that need to be discussed at Body Corporate meetings
Finding solutions for problem areas
Liaising professionally with everybody concerned
Thinking ahead at all times of items that need to be attended to
Dealing with Tenants
Managing contractors when they are at the complex completing repair work
Ensuring all security issues are in order
