Our client in Belgium is looking for a young Operations Manager. The perfect candidate will be a young CA or CIMA graduate. The role is two fold:
1. We are looking for someone to manage existing stakeholders:
Co-manufacturers
• Manage the quality level of the co-manufacturer on a consistent basis
• New project development: sourcing of ingredients, project management
• Translating forecasts into annual order schedules
Co-packing
• Manage the quality level of the co-packer on a consistent basis
• Translating forecasts into annual packing schedules
• Look for optimisations/ cost saving opportunities
2. We are looking for someone to manage new packaging development activities:
We introduce new packaging at the start of every season:
• Valentines day
• Easter
• Mother’s day
• Father’s day
• Advent
• Christmas
What is needed from an operations perspective is the following:
• Sourcing of these seasonal packaging materials
• Cost analysis (keep the packaging under the cost requirements)
• Quality management from a supplier (colour, material consistency)
On a longer term level, the operations manager will need to:
• Manage stakeholder relationships (especially co-manufacturers)
• De-risk the current process by:
• sourcing alternative suppliers for current packaging
• sourcing alternative co-packers
• Build internal capabilities
• Small test kitchen
• Own packing and logistical capabilities upon scale
Preferences:
• 2 years experience in the same field with the same responsibilities (Advantageous)
• Luxury industry experience
• Luxury food industry experience
• Luxury chocolate industry experience
