Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Strategic management and decision-making in respect of the development and maintenance of operational activities
- Management of ARC contract and careful execution of objectives as set out in the licensing agreement with the ARC and owners of cultivars
- Liaison with the Deciduous Fruit Industry, producers' associations, plant improvement / - propagation organisations and other stakeholders
- Planning, coordination and implementation of market needs and demand for products in identified national and international markets
- Ensure compliance with all related protocols and regulations regarding the management of the organisation, including health and safety protocols
- Management and maintenance of administrative systems
Qualifications and Experience:
- Postgraduate qualification in Agriculture and/or Business Sciences (e.g. project management, legal, etc.) and/or tertiary qualification in AgriSciences (Horticulture / Viticulture)
- 5 years relevant experience in the fruit industry
- 3-5 years’ experience in a management position
- Proven management experience (financial management, legal practice, company policy and intellectual property rights)
- Sound knowledge of agricultural economics, management and deciduous fruit varieties
- Excellent skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint

- Fully bilingual in both English and Afrikaans
