Job Summary
Our client in the Textile Manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Production Manager. This role focuses on planning and organizing production schedules to ensure efficient and timely production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management and a deep understanding of quality control and health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize production schedules.
- Assess project and resource requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Determine and enforce quality control standards.
- Oversee production processes to ensure efficiency.
- Renegotiate timescales or schedules as necessary.
- Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
- Supervise and manage junior staff.
- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Monitor production to resolve any issues promptly.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers, etc.).
- Determine the necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.).
- Approve maintenance work and equipment purchases.
- Ensure production output meets quality standards.
- Enforce health and safety precautions.
- Report to top management on production status and issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience and knowledge in production management.
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
