Marketing Assistant
- Work alongside marketing executive to execute on marketing strategy
- Interface with Project Managers and Design team to pull together content for use in social media
- Work with social media agency to pull together content and ideas from designers
- Understand site marketing requirements- get briefed from PM to assist with creating on-site presence
- InDesign would be great – they could assist with small updates on creative elements internally
- Maintain marketing workflow- getting shoots scheduled for completed jobs/ loading new images to websites
- Strong copywriting skills to compile project descriptions and content across various platforms
- Manage stock of marketing printed elements and where required brief in new items to be printed/ designed
Social Media Content
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
- Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
- Set specific objectives and report on ROI
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
- Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
- Google AdWords and Google Display experience
- Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
- Oversee social media accounts’ design
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
WordPress Speciality
- Manage websites content – must work in WordPress and woocommerce an added plus
- Required to update 3 websites on an ongoing basis – 3 are in WordPress
- Update of products/ pricing/ content on all sites
Essential skills, behavior and knowledge required:
- Excellent understanding of WordPress- must be able to edit website content
- Ability to think strategically and commercially.
- In-depth Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter understanding.
- Comfortable with numbers, data and analytics.
- High Attention to detail.
- Deadline driven.
- Able to work independently and within a team dynamic.
- Knowledge of strategic social media practices.
- Ability to take the lead and be resourceful in finding content opportunities.

Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate).
- Relevant tertiary education advantageous.
- 3+ year’s WordPress experience/ digital with a desire to learn more about marketing
- A proven ability to drive direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams.
- Experience within an interior design environment advantageous.
- Experience within an e-commerce and or retail environment is advantageous.
- Copywriting experience advantageous.
- InDesign experience advantageous
