Job Summary

Central Gauteng Mental Health Society seeks to appoint 2 Social Workers for Soweto and Katlehong office. RESPONSIBILITY • Render Social Work services to people with mental illness and intellectual disability including those experiencing trauma and life crisis. • Utilize all Social Work intervention methods. • Deliver holistic service to clients. • Attend to statutory case work. • Facilitate awareness programs. • Compile monthly report and statistics. • Liaise/networking with other organizations. • Assist with fundraising projects. REQUIREMENTS • Degree/Qualification in Social Work • Must be registered with SACSSP, for the current 2022/23. • Experience in statutory services is a requirement. • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Social Work field • Reasonable computer literacy i.e. ability to navigate around a computer and access email, internet (Microsoft office application). • Driver’s License is a requirement. • Background knowledge in the mental health sector will be an advantage.
