The role of the Lead Learning and Development is to fundamentally assist in the firm’s success, by coaching and developing its people. To develop and implement learning and development initiatives that enable the firm to constantly evolve, develop, remain relevant and sustainable.
KPA's will be (but not limited to):
Develop and implement the Learning and Development strategy and framework for the firm.
Create and deliver bespoke training programmes for all levels within the firm. These are to be designed with firm sustainability, leadership progression and best practice in mind, with the intention to expand on the talents and skills across all levels in the firm.
Influence decision-making process at senior level to determine most appropriate learning interventions to secure the buy-in for implementation.
Responsible for legislative & regulatory compliance and reporting on skills development.
Responsible for running the in-house accredited PMT and PLT programmes, including maintaining the accreditation and ensuring that it is executed in accordance with LEAD requirements.
Embracing different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching.
Accountable for the firm's Learning Management System, ensuring it is working optimally and meeting the needs of the business.
Establish and maintain good relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Working closely with various leaders across the organisation and having a full understanding of their units and training requirement.
Supporting all learning and development activities of the firm (i.e. Leadership, management, Functional, technical and soft skills training).
Responsible for the evaluation of interventions, which includes monitoring the effectiveness of the Learning and Development offering and the return on investment.
Manage the annual operating and expenditure budgets for Learning and Development, ensuring that all expenditure is accounted for and that costs are contained within budget parameters
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Honours Degree / NQF Level 8
Up to 12 years' experience, a minimum of 5 years being in a Management/leadership role
Professional Bodies(Preferred):
ASDSA - Association for Skills Development in South Africa
SABPP - South African Board for People Practices
