The Job Focus:
Employee Engagement:
Develop and manage the implementation of an employee engagement strategy.
Drive organisational values, ensuring visibility by designing and using various internal platforms, channels, and tactics such as events, forums, newsletters, recognition, internal screens, etc.
Manage and co-ordinate Voice Champions’ activities and feedback to ensure the most effective communication tactics and engagement are utilised.
Plan and co-ordinate organisational culture surveys by reviewing the content of the survey, liaising with the service provider to ensure content is relevant and encourage high employee participation to ensure quality of data.
Apply creativity and innovation in the planning and implementation of annual social events.
Manage the organisation’s monthly, quarterly, and annual Excellence Awards Program by designing and implementing recognition programs and processes such as recognition boards, awards, etc.
Design and deliver an internal employee engagement communication plan.
Develop, deliver and measure an internal communication strategy by managing and preparing internal communications; designing, updating, and monitoring content, preparing, and publishing newsletters and content for the Intranet for employee engagement to ensure communication and engagement objectives are met.
Measure and monitor the effectiveness of communication and engagement activities.
Employee Wellness:
Participate in the development and implementation of a wellness strategy for the company (workplace wellness, financial wellbeing, physical and mental health).
Monitor the management of incapacity and disability cases.
Appoint and manage external service providers to provide supporting services for wellness and employee engagements programs.
Manage the employee assistance programme
Corporate Social Investment (CSI):
Manage and co-ordinate the implementation of the company’s CSI plan and initiatives.
Co-ordinate and monitor CSI budgets for various CSI events and programmes such as early development programs.
HR Management:
Manage contractual recruitment and separation.
Manage compilation of recruitment and vacancy statistics and reports, as required in terms of the Human Resources planning process.
Onboarding:
Design and implement together with line management a departmental on-boarding program.
Conduct and ensure employees attend induction program.
Conduct a three month on-boarding follow-up discussion with employee.
Manage the employee probation process, ensure that Line Managers completed required documentation for probation reviews.
Executive Assistant:
Provide professional, high-level administrative support to the HR Executive.
Provide reports for Exco; Human Resource Committee and Board.
HR Reporting:
Analyse and review key HR metrics to ensure they provide information to support strategic objectives and business decisions.
Oversee preparations of HR monthly and quarterly report, review the report and ensure that they are submitted to the HR Executive within set timelines.
Project Management:
Responsible for successful completion of projects and events.
Culture Survey:
Facilitate the process of culture surveys in the company.
Health & Safety / Governance and Compliance:
Adhere to and meet all relevant safety targets and measurements.
Adhere to and enforce all health and safety regulations and report all safety hazards, accidents, and incidents to relevant parties.
Actively address all customer and supplier concerns.
Adhere to, and lead in the compliance of all Environmental, Health and Safety and all other applicable regulatory statutes, and all other safety and quality systems.
Actively adhere to and enforce POPI Act requirements.
Quality:
Ensure alignment of all work processes to the required quality standards.
