JOB PURPOSE:
Position Focus: Within the framework of The Group’s business strategy, to help develop and implement the Campus Sales strategy. This includes but is not limited to the implementation of strategy for:
- Brand Positioning
- The appointment of campus Student Advisors (SA)
- School Targeting
- School Presentations
- Career fairs
- Database collection and management
- Callers and the conversion of booked appointments to arrivals
- Reception Protocols
- Interviews and the conversion to Applications and Registrations
- Roll over sales
To work with campus management to ensure:
- SA’s are trained and ensure they are competent in all key performance areas
- Clear objectives and targets are set for SA’s and manage their performance using qualitative and quantitative measures
- Required marketing material is accurately and timeously forecasted
Reporting on key sales achievement vs. targets to the Campus Principal and National Sales Manager on a weekly and monthly basis
Development and maintenance of relationships with target schools
Weekly meetings with SA’s are held to monitor their performance against all key indicators i.e., school presentations, career fairs, database collection and management, calling campaigns, interview bookings and arrivals, conversion of interviews to applications and applications to registrations
Sports and social activities are monitored to ensure that students participate in activities as per set norms and targets
SA team are guided and mentored to improve sales and closing skills
Custodianship of the CRM Information system and ensuring 100% use by the sales team
Growth of the campus as measured by increased sales against set targets
REPORTING LINES You will report directly to the Campus Principal and indirectly to the National Sales Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all sales activity takes place in line with the brand and campus marketing plan
- Develop a sales plan to meet the campus sales and marketing objectives
- Achieve campus sales targets vis. Student numbers, Revenue per student and total turnover net of bursaries and bad debts.
- Roll out the tactical sales plans consistent with your campus sales strategy. This includes all direct sales activity, social media and promotional activity
- Build and maintain a dynamic group of SA, through supporting effective recruitment and selection and training processes
- Ensure that SA are trained and coached with product knowledge and sales techniques
Monitor and evaluate the performance of your SA to ensure that individual team member's targets are agreed upon, managed, and monitored
Ensure that the activities of the Student Advisor team comply with all relevant legislation, ethical standards and company policies
Foster a teamwork approach and a sense of partnership with the Academic, Finance, Ops and HR teams, aimed at optimising all opportunities to identify and exploit synergies and enhance sales-effectiveness
JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience and successful track record in national sales management, in service-related industries (preference for someone with relevant private education sales experience).
- Minimum 3 years of sales and management experience.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Able to conduct one and one student interviews and family interviews
- Have high direct selling skills
- Demonstrates ability to understand financial, regulatory, legal and human resource issues and their impact on the sales function
- Highly focused and able to lead and guide a team, lead by example and foster professionalism in the team through consistent and effective training
- Capacity to judge the competency of the team and ability to initiate change
- Ability to constantly self-challenge and challenge others in a constructive way
- Able to analyse and act without compromising quality
- Shows integrity, tenacity, resilience, and adaptability in complex situations and fluid environments; can manage pressure and commit to and respect deadlines
- Utilizes excellent communication skills and demonstrates intercultural adaptability and sensitivity

- Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite
