Job Summary
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage welding and manufacturing department
• Ensure high standard of craftsmanship
• Provide expertise to the manufacturing department
• Be hands-on
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies
• Adhere to food safety policies
• Adhere to systems, policies and procedures
• House keeping
• Minimize down time by manufacturing equipment and modifications on machines
• Perform week-end work as needed
• Projects
• Time management
• Budget control
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
• N3 National Red seal qualification as Boilermaker– non negotiable
• Must have at least 3 - 5 years’ maintenance experience in food processing industry
• Must be able to lead a team
• Must be able to manufacture equipment as requested
• Must not be afraid of heights and small places to work in
• Possess excellent knowledge of welding (tig and arc), electrical equipment, Mechanical aptitude and pressure systems
• Possess excellent knowledge of chains, belt & roller conveyors, vacuum systems, pumps and gearboxes.
• Must be hands-on and self-driven
• Must have good communication and people skills
• Willing to work over time
• Participate in projects and work long hours
• Do planning and order equipment as needed
• Be physically fit for heavy work
• Work with extreme high accuracy
• Must have a good draughting ability
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Own transport
• Willing to relocate
