Job Summary
Established production company in Pinetown is looking for a candidate with the following, for dayshift position:
- N6 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or higher)
- 2+ years’ technical experience in a production environment
- Highly motivated and ability to motivate and lead others
- Proven technical/mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Self-disciplined, enthusiastic and a strong team player
- Experience in FMCG / packaging / plastics industry advantageous
Duties:
- Assisting with the day to day leadership of the team
- Maintaining efficiencies of 85% or higher
- Managing the ISIR process
- Ensuring that adherence to all safety standards are followed
- Making sure housekeeping is above 90% for the factory and packing areas
- Assisting with maintenance as required
- Process optimisation
- Leave relief for Shift Setter as needed
- Ensuring production of excellent quality packaging that meets specifications
- Assisting with moral management and technical training of semi-skilled staff
