Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the new employee process from offer letter through to joining instructions and induction.
Administer the probationary review periods where applicable. Manage the leave administration process and provide advice of leave to be taken. Handle maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave processes and queries. Updating daily clockings • Capturing overtime + allowances on payroll spreadsheet and process to Payroll • Consolidate IR monthly report and record disciplinary proceedings.
Provide support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Provide HR support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner • Distribute/disseminate policies and convey related communication.
Answer all channeled HR administration-related queries from employees and managers in the business and ensure their resolution in accordance with service standards. Liaison with clinic and the booking of all entry, exit medicals.
Process medical aid / fund entries and withdrawals • Process death and disability claim documents.
Maintain the personnel filing system and safeguard the files and documentation • Maintain data integrity & confidentiality of employee files •
Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management.
5 years’ experience in a unionised manufacturing environment.
