- Ensure all collective agreement rules and regulations per location are accurate and up to date on
- Ensure that monthly group salary payrolls as well as group weekly wage payrolls are processed timely and
- Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate
- Bring wage and salary related issues to the attention of the relevant HR Managers for relevant staff
- Selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining wage payroll
- Participates in interview process for new hires into Payroll
- Balances payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal
- Coordinate with operations, HR and finance teams to carry out payroll
- Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll
- Communicating job expectations to team of payroll administrators and work in conjunction with HR team
- Adhering to policies and procedures and meeting audit requirements, ensuring payroll supporting documentation / HR / employee filing received and processed
- Meet all salary and wage payroll operational
- Maintain employee payroll records up-to-date and accurate including employee
- Ensure all payroll calculations/formulas are accurate and up to date per legislation and collective
- Implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
- Meets payroll financial standards by providing annual budget
- Updates records by reviewing and entering changes in collective agreement
- Prepares salaries by verifying time records and leave records; calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers; calculating and producing bonuses as and when
- Balances payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal
- Capture and process annual increases and assist where necessary with
- Determines payroll liabilities by entering accurate tax
- Fulfill garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings; negotiating with collection agencies to convert garnishments to wage
- Manage medical aids and pension funds for salary staff and compare to monthly
- Facilitate weekly (as required) team and HR joint
- Assist in monitoring workload and evaluate direct reports and may review the evaluations/development plans of
- Provide staff with assistance and attend to queries as and when
