This role has the potential to shape the future of the Assistive Technology industry both locally and internationally, through strengthening and building new partnerships and expanding our reach to new regions. The function of the role is to secure strategic partnerships, facilitate agreements, and open new international networks, by critically assessing and pursuing opportunities to result in new customers, increased turnover and profit.
Deliverables
- Develop plans in collaboration with the enterprise development, impact, and project delivery teams
- Research, identify, initiate, secure relevant and strategic market opportunities, and maintain and grow productive business relationships
- Initiate strategic B2B, Government, NPO and media relationships, together with the enterprise development and delivery teams
- Negotiate contracts and finalise agreements that benefit the company and the people who need access to our products and services
- Design, prepare and present proposals on behalf of the team by strategically building a business case for system change projects that align with the SSE’s vision and purpose
- Build, secure and maintain a strong relational pipeline of relevant qualified leads, new clients and partners.
- Develop and deliver on a comprehensive strategic business development plan focused on income generation and partnership development across all 3 legal entities of the social enterprise

Preferred
- Background in wheelchair and 24-hour posture device provision or medical equipment management practices
- Experience in Medical Device or Assistive Technology sales and marketing
- An MBA and /or degree which provides relevant industry knowledge. Business, communications, marketing, strategic thinking and entrepreneurial determination
