Job Summary
Established production company in PE/Gqeberha has a position for an experienced Logistics Controller.
Responsibilities:
• Production planning
• Raw material planning (purchasing thereof)
• Receiving and verifying stock manufactured by Production
• Monitoring and receiving of raw materials from raw material suppliers
• Buy in planning intercompany
• Liaising with internal and external suppliers on timing of receipt of stock
• Ensuring that stock is stacked and packed neatly in demarcated areas
• Solving problems and stock discrepancies identified by stores packers
• Managing the stock levels and ensuring buffers are maintained
• Managing slow moving stock figures
• Ensuring correct loading and offloading of products and that stock is handled correctly
• Ensuring accurate control of secondary packaging
• Monitoring of stock levels and ensuring timeous supply of stock to customers
• Perpetual and Monthly stocktaking
• Ensuring correct documentation pertaining to stock control and customer returns
• Supervision, training and development of wage staff
• Fleet management
Required:
• Relevant tertiary qualification, Storekeeping and Stock Control or related diploma or degree advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a stores and dispatch environment
• Must have at least 1 year supervisory and/or management experience
• Excellent computer literacy, especially on Excel
• Attention to detail, hands on approach
• Customer focused, good planning and organising skills
• Strong sense of urgency, lots of energy and the ability to lead and motivate a team
