ROLE OBJECTIVE:
The Picker is primarily responsible for accurately picking all outbound orders in the picking queue within predetermined timeframes. In addition, all employees are required to practice ethical behaviour and live the company’s values on a daily basis.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
# Grade 12
# Higher grade maths - good numerical skills
# 1 - 2 years logistics or warehouse experience
# Ability to communicate in English
# Basic knowledge of outbound processes
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately pick assigned orders from shelves within the specified timeframe.
Pick orders in the picking queue according to the specified size, colour and quantity.
When required, operate scanners effectively so that orders are picked, and inventory is managed accurately.
Pick orders according to the correct quality standards, predetermined KPIs and Company SLA requirements.
Conduct a recon after each order is picked to ensure the correct quantity and quality.
Ensure that picking stations are clean and tidy at all times.
Follow the 5S method and regulations when performing all tasks.
