Ticket Sales

• Always recommend to customer the full-flexi tickets first, then recommend lower fair options (flexi and saver) and only if necessary resort to the special discount option in order to secure the sale;
• Execute ticket bookings on the Booking System.
• Compliance with the ticket booking policies and procedures including:
• Identifying, selecting and confirming the dates, departures and arrivals that meet the ticket purchasers’ needs.
• Explain the various ticket classes, differences and benefits of each class.
• Explain Co. Terms and Conditions applicable to the type of booking, and send a copy of Co. Terms & Conditions via fax or e-mail to the ticket purchaser / passenger.
• Explain routes, stops and destinations correctly and according to the training manual.
• Explain and utilize discounts correctly when necessary to make a sale, or when requested, and comply with the prescribed requirements e.g. ID Document for Pensioners, valid and current Student Card for Students, and SANDF identification for Force Members.
• Process the booking correctly as per the purchasers’ preferred payment method: credit card, debit card or direct bank deposit. In the case of direct bank deposits or electronic funds transfers, relay the conditions of booking to the ticket purchaser.
• Verify all booking and payment details on the computer before issuing tickets, and ensure that the purchaser verbally accepts the details as correct.
• Ensure that ticket purchasers are made aware of their responsibility to adhere to passport and visa requirements and explain such if and when applicable.
• Assist ticket purchasers in a professional, friendly and helpful manner according to the sales competencies listed under “related job requirements”.

JOB TITLE: IR MANAGER

Job Description:

1. Industrial Relations

• Ensure that we maintain sound labour relations practices, including the consistent application of the disciplinary code throughout the Group (Core and Africa).
• Ensure the effective management of key consultants and stakeholders (e.g. SEESA, CEO, etc.).
• Manage union activity and relationships.
• Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA and the bargaining council (SARPBAC) collective agreement.
• Ensure sound relationships are in place and maintained with SARPBAC.
• Ensure SARPBAC / CCMA cases are dealt with effectively and completely and with a minimal cost implication. (Including attending such matters).
• Ensure effective document and record taking of all disciplinary actions are in place and maintained at all times.
• Ensure that regular IR training and coaching with regard to all industrial relations aspects are provided to management on a bi-annual basis with competence assessment and certification.
• Assist with disciplinary hearing and other disciplinary issues as required.
• Coordinate appeal processes.
• Coordinate grievance procedures.
• Ensure proactive Industrial Relations by the implementation of systems and monitoring of trends within the workforce’s discipline to stop workforce problems from escalating.
• Setting of and ensure compliance with the IR Strategy.
• Manage and development of the IR System.
• Managing the IR department and subordinates to ensure a high level of productivity and effectiveness.
• Prepare the applicable reports for EXCO where needed.
• Responsible for Employment Contracts throughout the Group to be updated when relevant legislation, organisational structures and/or policies changes.

2. General HC, Payroll and Training Involvement

• Assist with general HC related tasks as required including recruitment, selection, induction and performance management tasks.
• Coordinate, together with the HC-team, relevant employee communication initiatives where relevant.
• Ensure all employees are effectively trained with regards to discipline in the workplace.
• Provide input (data) and data analysis to the payroll department as required.
• Assist with IOD and WCA where required.
• Assist in the Employment Equity function of the organisation.
• Assist with Employment Equity Plan.
• Provide training where required.
• Write training material where required.
• Assisting Payroll where required with programs and initiatives.
• Assisting HC with Workplace Skills Plan.
• Assisting with the management and drafting of organisational policies.

3. BBBEE Management

• Responsible for the compiling of the BBBEE reporting to management.
• Responsible for the verification.
• Responsible for the compliance planning within the organisation.

4. Effective Utilisation Of CompanySystems

• Log all related information on company system as required by policy.
• Understand all company system available and value that can be gained from these.
• Responsible for effective utilization, accurate capturing, and thorough record keeping on all systems relevant to perform daily tasks within department.
• Capture and ensure the correct information is loaded and reflects accurately on the Move system and all other relevant systems in department at all times and on a continuous basis
• Responsible to ensure that you have received training on all relevant systems for department or have provided training to direct reports.

Qualifications:

• Legal degree (Human Resources Qualification specialising in IR an advantage.) Experience:
• 5-8 years’ work experience.
• Management experience crucial.
• Good system and process skills.

Problem solving: Effective Root Cause Analysis, problem solving and implementation of Corrective and Preventative measures
