Job Summary
- Tertiary qualification in logistics /supply chain management / operations management / bachelor
- 5-6 years Operations Management experience
- 5-6 years People Management experience (motivating, developing, performance management, discipline)
- Sound Financial management skills, including budgeting & tracking
- Sound HR & IR management skills
- Sound QSHE experience and capability
- Planning & organizing – very strong ability to manage time & prioritize
- Experience in a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Ability to manage change effectively
- Shop floor focused leadership and work ethic
- Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills
- Advocate lean structure and passionate shop floor leader of lean processes conformance
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Duties and Responsibilities
- To manage and take ownership of the day-to-day operational activities and ensure that the Company and Client is adhering to the contractual standards set out in the SLA agreement.
- Operational leadership on all aspects of the business – Daily shop floor reviews and layered audits and follow up and close out diligently
- To ensure that the operation is profitable by managing the budget and controlling expenditure to support overall company profitability.
- To manage resources and staff and provide them with the necessary tools required to perform their daily activities e.g., equipment, knowledge, skills, and training.
- To ensure that all Company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are adhered to, to ensure compliance to corporate governance.
- To assess and minimize risk factors in the operation to ensure profitability and customer retention
- To maintain sound client relationships within a trustworthy environment to ensure future continuous relationship.
- Continuously address value adds through continuous improvement processes ensuring profitable growth to the client and ourselves
- To create a learning environment for staff through multiskilling, empowering and succession planning to ensure continued capacity within the framework of the business
