At least five years of relevant working experience within the heavy vehicle industry.
Working experience with MAN/Mercedes/Bosch.
Experience within the public transport industry (will be a great advantage).
Excellent technical reporting skills.
Computer literacy is key with at least the MS Office Suite, manufacturer related software/diagnostics tools and software for engines.

High-Level Responsibilities
Coordinating Work and Activities of Auto Electricians, Diesel Mechanics & Body Builders.
Cost Control - Ensure that diagnosis leads to the most cost-effective and accurate remedy to a fault.
Problem Solving – Making judgement calls on solutions to specific problems encountered by the technicians.
Monitoring and Controlling Resources – Ensure sufficient and correct tools are maintained and available for 2013s to be completed.
Standards and Procedures – Ensure technicians comply with applicable procedures through the use of instruction manuals for the appropriate type/model/ series of vehicles.
Health and Safety – Ensure adherence to the company's policies and procedures in terms of Health and Safety be practice operating procedures
Effective communication at all levels.
General Administration – Complete forms and documentation included in the company's service routine.
Coaching and Mentoring of Staff – including providing technical support and ensuring that the technicians have the necessary skills to perform their duties and assist them to correct job-skill deficiencies.
