Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
BSc Engineering Degree a strong pref

5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor departmental health, safety, environmental and quality aspects
Effectively manage the raw material procurement procedures, which includes managing and controlling stock
Optimise the planning of production machines in line with production efficiency, client requirements and the delivery schedule
Effectively control and manage WIP
Manage and lead the Logistics team, which includes receipting, deliveries and finished goods warehouse management
Support and maintain sound and effective financial management principles by effective forecasting including effective cost saving initiatives (stock control management, transport cost optimisation, vehicle optimisation, Chep pallet control, etc)
Develop commercial strategic operational implementation plans aligned to strategic objectives (Business Planning Management) that includes medium terms business plans
Build solid relationships with employees, clients, suppliers, auditors, as well as internal support functions such as finance, sales and production
Provide accurate commercial information by monthly commercial reporting that includes raw material procurement, production planning initiatives, logistics management, stock management, client reviews and market intelligence, optimisation project initiatives, contractor management and audit report findings
Initiate and implement business improvement
