Job Summary
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for initiating and coordinating small to large projects at setting up and optimizing the operational processes. This done in a way that efficient logistics services can be provided, in line with specific customer wishes. The management of ad-hoc situations related to logistic processes and activities would be expected of this position.
Education/Requirements:
Grade 12 (or equivalent) with English fluency (Written and spoken) Degree/Higher Diploma in Systems/Industrial Engineering/Similar 3 years industry or working experience. Understanding of the Vehicle supply chain environment advantageous Microsoft Project knowledge and experience MS Office spreadsheets and graphics – strong excel skills. No criminal record
Duties and Key Responsibilities: Determining specifications from customers and organization and making proposals for improvement; Track and ensure that the applicable Key Performance Indicator targets are achieved; Manage implementation of client’s tender outcomes in client’s logistics environment; Conduct quarterly performance reviews of client’s appointed suppliers and service providers; Provide support on client’s logistics budgeting process; Calculate and supply accurate costings for all elements of the supply chain for normal and ad-hoc requests; Seek innovative cost saving solutions to meet annual cost reduction targets and recommend to client; Support VE pack creation and management Support client’s regional logistics projects; Provide support on operational supply chain activities; Set up a project schedule, staff with appropriate SME’s and report to Management on progress Identify, implement, and manage new projects, subject to the prior written approval of clients; Design and implement, subject to client’s prior written approval, new supply chain processes; Re-engineer clients supply chain flows to improve time, cost, and quality; Ensure that all office equipment is properly maintained, and office area is clean and presentable; and Perform any other lawful instructions within the Company’s scope of work as and when required. Step up to assist management in dealing with ad-hoc Logistics challenges
