This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded hospitality professional who thrives in a guest-facing and operationally diverse role. The successful candidate will take responsibility for reservations, front-of-house duties, and guest hosting while supporting overall lodge management. When the General Management couple is on leave, the Assistant Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning across departments. This role is ideal for someone with excellent organizational and communication skills who enjoys combining administrative precision with genuine guest engagement. Key Responsibilities · Oversee all reservations and front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences from booking to check-out. · Coordinate arrivals, departures, and payments efficiently. · Manage guest relations – handling inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly. · Host guests and travel agents to maintain high levels of satisfaction and brand reputation. · Conduct room inspections and oversee housekeeping to maintain exceptional standards. · Manage curio shop sales and conduct monthly stock takes. · Supervise lodge staff, create schedules, oversee leave requests, and monitor performance. · Handle general lodge administration and reporting tasks. · Assist with all operational aspects during management leave periods. Requirements · Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospitality role focusing on Front Office and/or Reservations. · Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail. · Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. · Professional command of the English language (spoken and written). · Previous experience with PANHospitality reservations and accounting system highly advantageous. · Problem-solving ability, adaptability, and the capacity to work under pressure. · Trustworthy, reliable, presentable, and a proactive team player. · Willingness to work flexible hours and live in a remote bush environment.
