EXECUTIVE CHEF · Newly designed Premium Eco Lodge (Addo National Park Region) Overview Our esteemed Client focuses on providing an authentic, luxurious, and transformative African wilderness experience with a strong emphasis on conservation, wellness, and community involvement. It will offer curated accommodations, guided safaris, wellness rituals, and gourmet dining, all designed to minimize environmental impact. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate chef to build a fully sustainable, off-the-grid kitchen from the ground up—where fine dining meets conscious living. The ideal candidate will bring experience from ultra-luxury lodges or high-end boutique hotels, with strong leadership, creativity, and a deep respect for local culture and the environment. Daily guest interaction, food and wine pairing expertise, and a passion for zero-waste cooking are essential. POSITION REQUIREMENTS, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE: Relevant culinary degree or diploma in culinary arts Proven experience as Executive Chef in ultra-luxury lodges or high-end boutique hotels Articulate and engaging, with the confidence to interact with guests daily and create a personalised dining experience. Strong administrative, cost control, and kitchen management skills Expertise in food and wine pairing (non-negotiable) Creative fine dining style with a focus on sustainability and zero-waste principles Confident in guest interaction, personalising menus based on preferences and dietary needs Lead all kitchen operations: planning, production, costing, stock, scheduling, and compliance Mentor and develop a young, local kitchen team with a focus on skills upliftment Collaborate closely with FOH for seamless food and wine experiences Establish and cultivate on-site gardens, from the ground up, integrating their produce into daily menus and kitchen operations.
