Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for the following key functions:
- Scheduling and testing of samples
- Quality control
- Record keeping and reporting of results
- Interpreting and releasing of results to customers (Technical Signatory)
- Identifying, analysing, evaluating and preventing non conformances
- Training and auditing
- Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Optimisation of test methods (including validation)
- Planning, execution and reporting of special projects
- Presentation of management information
Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Agricultural / Food Science / Chemistry, etc.)
- At least 5 years laboratory experience (wine industry will be beneficial)
- Excellent accuracy, numerical skills and attention to detail
- Experience in problem solving and working independently
- Above average computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent planning and organisation skills

- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of Quality systems (ISO / IEC 17025 2017)
