The Presales Consultant / Solutions Engineer is responsible for deep technical pre-sales support of Broadcom AIOps solutions. This includes products such as Broadcom DX NetOps, AppNeta, DX Operational Intelligence and DX Unified Infrastructure Management (UIM) together with the integration of these solutions to other Broadcom solutions as well as 3rd parties. Key activities include customer presentations, product demonstrations, product health checks, proof-of-concept engagements, and best practices discussions around observability, enterprise service assurance and monitoring.
Evangelize IT Operations Management - Articulate the overall Broadcom AIOps value proposition, integration potential, vision, and strategy to customers and partners
Differentiate and position Broadcom DX OI, NetOps and UIM technical product features, functions and best practices via presentations, demonstrations, proof of concept, and health checks to influence customer purchase and renewal decisions.
Engage with customers as a trusted advisor, listening and understanding their challenges and requirement - both technical and business, and clearly articulate and communicate to the sales team, document the requirements and be able to develop an Enterprise monitoring and observability [AIOps] strategy based on them.
Collaboratively develop and articulate an end-to-end solution, inclusive of consulting, professional services, and implementation design.
Drive customer success by partnering with internal and external stakeholders including sales, product management, support, and partners.
Consult with customers on product performance inclusive of sizing, tuning and configuration, and recommend solution best practices.
Provide technical assistance to aid in closing complex and competitive opportunities by acting as the customer trusted technical advisor, using industry and competitive knowledge and technical skills to provide sound enterprise monitoring advice to customers and help them establish a business case, including TCO and ROI justification, and shape requirements.
Deliver product and technology briefings.
Assist in the development of technical responses to RFIs and RFPs.
Assist in enabling sales teams on specific value propositions, competitive differentiation, and best practices to help them position Broadcom solutions.
Qualifications and Background Required
7+ years of successful technical systems experience in pre-sales/solution engineering or professional services within the Network Operations and Infrastructure Management domain.
Broad product and solution knowledge of market trends in the Enterprise IT Operations Management practice and domain.
Broad experience and understanding of industry standards, frameworks, and best practices are highly desirable
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Deep technical expertise across the following disciplines:
Enterprise Network Monitoring (LAN/WAN/SDWAN/ISP)
Technical expertise related to application performance monitoring and digital experience monitoring will be beneficial.
Ability to relate to a wide range of technical staff and leaders in customer environments.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit for problem-solving.
Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze problems and develop strategic and tactical plans.
Legal authorization to work within South Africa.
Previous customer-facing experience is preferred, such as a Consultant, Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, and Technical Pre-Sales Engineer.
Professional and industry-related qualifications are highly desirable
Strong communication abilities in both written, and verbal form to a variety of audiences in English.
Industry certifications are a plus.
Working knowledge of cloud-based architecture and software deployment is a plus.
Programming/scripting experience related to automation and integration and the ability to work in a fast-paced team.
