· On the basis that the supplier is responsible for the product, process development, and quality of the parts, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for planning and managing all measures for preventative quality assurance to ensure that the parts in his/her parts spectrum are ready for series production and their quality meets COMPANY specifications at all times during the product life cycle, including start-up, series production, and P&A.
· Is responsible and accountable to establish quality targets for start-up, series production, and P&A production and ensures these targets are continually measured and achieved. In this regard, continuous quality improvements must be achieved throughout the part life cycle. · Is responsible and accountable to obtain proof of product conformance, process capability, and quality assurance at the supplier and of the complete process chain during the product and process development phase, utilizing the appropriate quality tools.
· Is responsible and accountable to conduct the process series, start-up capability evaluation, and initial sample approval of new parts and running changes, including test planning and coordinating the overall test result. · In the event of non-conforming material being identified in the plant, the incumbent is responsible and accountable to initiate and manage the defect eradication process and ensure that the necessary actions take place timely. This can include mobilizing and leading teams to solve complex problems. The incumbent is also responsible and accountable to support the Handling of Non-Conforming Parts procedure.
