Job Summary
Together with our client, an electronic manufacturing company in Pretoria East we are recruiting for an IT Manager. The Ideal Candidate needs to have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a support / front office / back office network environment and must hold a MCSE or Equivalent qualification.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining networks, servers, and security programs and systems.
- Manage the upgrade and installation of new hardware and software, perform troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems, and assess viruses and potential threats to the company’s network.
- Perform routine systems and network administration functions.
- Support mobile devices for VoIP and VPN.
- Microsoft and Linux desktop application installation and support.
- Hardware and software support.
- Support of business-critical applications.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and managing problems.
- Liaising with 3rd party service providers.
- Maintaining system and related business documentation.
- Assistance in asset control on hardware and software.
- Maintain the access control system administration.
- Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers
- Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
- Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems.
- Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.

Must demonstrate experience in one or more of the following technologies:
- Microsoft Windows XP/7/8/8.1/10 Desktop. (All functions)
- Microsoft Exchange Server.
- Linux (or any *nix operating system)
- VMware ESXi (or equal virtualization platform) or VMware workstation.
- Microsoft SQL
- Microsoft Server 2016 and later
- Windows SharePoint Services (WSS)
- Anti-virus
- WSUS
- Backup Exec
- Free NAS
- Client-server networking.
- Configuring of VPN networks.
- Knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches, cabling
- Hardware upgrades, PC building, PC upgrades
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Matric
- MCSE or Equivalent
- A+, Network+ and Security+ is Advantageous
Salary: R 360 000.00 – R 480 000.00 CTC per annum
