Our client, a vibrant and diverse in-house digital marketing consulting agency that provides digital marketing services to companies in the agricultural, food and tourism sector, is looking for a passionate Graphic Designer to join their team based in Pyramid, North of Pretoria. You will be designing a wide variety of assets for a variety of brands across digital and traditional media.

You will have the opportunity to work independently while delivering your brilliant creative ideas, and the position has the medium to long term possibility of being Hybrid (2 days a week in office). The position requires a bi-lingual person that is fully fluent in English and Afrikaans, with a valid drivers license and own reliable transport.

You will be involved in the entire workflow from researching and planning concepts, to presenting mockups, getting sign off and eventually producing finished and final art through necessary equipment and software.

Graphic Designer Responsibilities:

• Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
• Bringing the brief and concept to life based on the client’s needs and vision.
• Preparing mockups and presenting to clients before deciding on a final design/concept.
• Editing proofs to client’s specifications and getting sign off/approval before finalising artwork.
• Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software.
• Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
• Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as photoshop.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.
• Work on multiple briefs at the same time.

Graphic Designer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
• 5 years’ experience as a graphic designer or in related field.
• Have a strong, well-rounded portfolio that showcases your individual design aesthetic.
• Be a skilled user of desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator.
• A strong eye for visual composition.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
• Experience with computer-aided design.
• Good communication skills to accurately convey your concepts to clients and team members.
• Mindful of client’s needs and the time and costs associated with what you will be delivering.
• Have an active interest in art/design and passionate about the work you deliver.
